Born in Philadelphia and raised in Newington, Connecticut, I’m a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I received my undergraduate degree in chemistry and biology from the University of Connecticut and my doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1971.
Having done my residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, I have been practicing in Carlisle, Pennsylvania since 1977. Along with being a diplomate of the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, I belong to a variety of professional organizations, including American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, The Academy of Osseointegration and the National Sleep Society.
My career as a dentist is devoted to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with special interests in the treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and dental implants. To keep abreast of the latest developments in oral and maxillofacial surgery, I have always exceeded the continuing education requirements in Pennsylvania.
My hobbies include astronomy, sports, swimming, chess, photography, art, railroading, training my dogs and boating. I’ve been married for 25 years to Kathy. We have four children: Fred, Kristin, Lauren and Rylee and a host of Labrador retrievers.
